The Tulving Company Has Been Selected As One Of The Few Worldwide Distributors of "The Wells Fargo® Nevada Gold Coin Discovery"

Although some of the details concerning the history and discovery of this amazing group of coins may always remain unclear, we have been given some of the fascinating details.  These beautiful coins were originally acquired in 1917, but were left virtually undisturbed and untouched until the early 1970's.  The coins were then apparently sorted, counted, and resealed in bags, but were again stored safely away.  There they again remained untouched until 1996.  Stored in the vaults of a Wells Fargo bank, this monumental find was purchased by a good friend of mine in 1997.  The negotiations for this historic purchase took place at a Wells Fargo Bank in Nevada.

The very name "Wells Fargo" is synonymous with the Old West, banking, and the California Gold Rush.  It instills images of heavily-laden stagecoaches transporting gold, silver and mail over the Sierras.

In 1852, Henry Wells and William Fargo founded Wells Fargo & Co. to provide banking and express service to western pioneers.  Wells and Fargo opened their first banking and express office in the bustling gold rush port of San Francisco.  Soon, Wells Fargo's trustworthy agents moved into other western mining camps and settlements, providing essential banking services, reliable transportation of gold and goods, and dependable mail delivery to the stalwart miners, merchants and farmers who tamed the West.

Western pioneers needed to exchange their gold dust for coin, safeguard their hard-won wealth, and send funds to families back east.  Wells Fargo agents purchased dust, took deposits, and offered convenient paper bank drafts and checks to facilitate safe transport of money over long distances.  Wells Fargo sent gold, mail and express shipments by the fastest transportation available:  stagecoach, steamer, railroad or Pony Express.

In 1860, thousands of fortune seekers rushed to unearth the fabulous gold and silver deposits of Nevada's Washoe region.  Wherever prospectors found precious metal in the Silver State, Wells Fargo transported their riches.  From Tonopah, Goldfield, and dozens of other mining camps, Wells Fargo's shotgun messengers escorted treasure aboard stagecoaches and railroad express cars.

From Argenta to Yerington, Wells Fargo symbolized banking security and reliability in 133 Nevada communities from 1860 to 1918.

IMPORTANT NOTICE
FACTORS YOU MUST CONSIDER IN PURCHASING COINS

RISK: The purchase of coins is highly speculative and involves substantial risk. As in other markets, coin prices can be extremely volatile and will rise and fall depending upon market conditions. Therefore, before purchasing coins, you should first have adequate cash reserves and other assets to absorb a potentially significant loss.

HOLDING PERIOD: Historically, few coins have appreciated dramatically in the short term. Therefore, purchasers should recognize that it may well be necessary for them to hold coins for a 3 - 5 year period, or even a 5 - 10 year period, to have any chance of realizing a significant gain.
